Chapter 1
9. At that time Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan. Chapter 9
10. As Jesus was coming up out of the water, he saw heaven being torn open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove.
11. And a voice came from heaven: "You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased."
7. Then a cloud appeared and enveloped them, and a voice came from the cloud: "This is my Son, whom I love. Listen to him!" Chapter 10
21. Jesus looked at him and loved him. "One thing you lack," he said. "Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me." Chapter 12
6. "He had one left to send, a son, whom he loved. He sent him last of all, saying, 'They will respect my son.' Chapter 12
30. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.'
31. The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'There is no commandment greater than these."
32. "Well said, teacher," the man replied. "You are right in saying that God is one and there is no other but him.
33. To love him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices."
